“Just returned  Himalayan Culture tour Nepal- Bhutan and Tibet April 2018 it was most memorable Walk to tigers nest in Bhutan, a 90 min twin seater plane over Annapurna base camp in Pokhara Nepal, and the monks debate in Tibet. In Lhassa, try and organise a trip to a lake as apparently they are beautiful ( tho not close) and it makes a break from temples, palaces and monestaries. Also in Bhutan ( thympoo) try and see an archery practice or compétition. Fun and interesting. It was great. Had a fabulous time. Achut and his team were great, very attentive to our needs, very flexible, the program was full but not overloaded so we had time to ourselves to relax and hang out as well. He organised a full day trip in and around Katmandu which wasn't on the original program and was really interesting and fun. Good guides and drivers in all countries. I would rate 5 ***** this holiday”

I did Nepal Charity trek and Yoga in the mountains and trekking around with my guide and porter in a completely natural way and mode. IF someone would have told me there would be little other tourists and some places are still a bit underdeveloped after the earthquake I might have hesitated but it was so special and recommendable. There are no 5 star hotels of course but if you can do with a bit less you should absolutely go for it and not wait. I subscribed because I wanted to go with a group but in my case I ended up solo since my travel partner postponed and it was perfectly fine and I enjoyed every bit of the trek. I am just really happy I went for it. Oh and yes do try the yoga as well. And travelling around there generated some income for people who can use it very well. I want rate this trek trip 5 ***** Visited Febuary 2018

"Most memorable my holiday Seeing the Potala Palace in Tibet and completing the hike to the Tiger's Nest Monastery in Bhutan have been on my list of places to see and do for many years. I thoroughly enjoyed both.Be certain about the Visa information you receive. I was informed that my visa for Tibet could also be used for a stop in China on my return trip. That proved not to be the case and I had to apply for and purchase a second Visa for China. I ended up paying over $400 for the 2 visa's through the company the tour company contracts with. I have since learned that had I made my own Visa arrangement it would have cost $140 for US citizens to obtain a visa for China. I do not know if I could have used that same visa for Tibet, however. I appreciated how well organized Manakamana Treks were. Someone was always there at the airport(s) for pick up and got us back on time for departures. I was impressed with the way Achut and his team handled all of the trip details. With the exception of the visa issues, I am very pleased with my trip and with the tour company. Visited Nepal- Bhutan and Tibet September 04th 2017.I want rate 4 **** "

“It was so many really memorable moments, but perhaps the most memorable day as the trek to The Tiger's Nest in Bhutan. The trek was tough, for me at least, but really enjoyable. Once we reached the Tiger's Nest the pain melted away and was replaced by equal measures of awe and exhilaration. It truly is wonderful! The way down is much easier! Don't even hesitate for a moment just do it.,you won't regret it. Manakamana Treks organise everything and they organise it extraordinarily well. The guides and drivers in each of the countries are fantastic. This holiday was truly wonderful. We have the most treasured memories that will stay with us for the rest of our days. Not only that but the trip was was really great value, considering everything we got to see and do. We are looking forward to going back and spending more time there I visited Himalayan culture tour Nepal-Bhutan and Tibet August 05 2017. I rate 5 ***** for this holiday”

"My holiday It was fascinating to see all the different temples and hear the histories and about the religions of the three countries. Everyone we met was very friendly. Nepal is the easiest to get about with so many travellers there. It was more chaotic but we loved the energy of the place. Its also easy to find plenty of decent restaurants and to get away from crowded streets if you want to. The mountains are stunning and we definitely want to go back. Bhutan was fascinating and the country I knew the least about before hand. The scenery is lovely but the last hotel was probably a bit far out for less benefit (given the roads aren't brilliant in this part of Bhutan). Be warned, the food has lots of chills! Tibet was great to see but obviously such a shame how much damage has been done since the occupation by the Chinese. Thankfully there is more Tibetan culture to see than there was 15 years ago, but having spoken to other people, I'd recommend a longer trip to get out of Lhasa and Shi gatse if you want to see more of the traditional Tibetan culture. It was perfect to have a few days at the end of the trip to go to Pokahra and have a few relaxing days. I'd recommend reading as much as possible about the countries before going to have some of the background to their history - particularly Tibet and the details of the country prior to 1950. Having a bit more background from people who have been to these countries before helps you to see more, ask more questions etc and get the most of out of being there. We used All the guides were local people and therefore knew the areas and the history well. It was much better than foreign guides. KK was very friendly and Achut was always around to make sure we had everything we needed/could ask questions about any part of the trip. He helped us find local shops and medicines when we weren't well. He was also quick to answer any questions before the trip. Excellent, we really enjoyed it and definitely want to go back to spend longer in each country and spend some time trekking. I'd highly recommend this trip as a great introduction to the three countries and good inspiration for the next trips we want to book! Visited May 15 2017. I would like to rate this holiday 5 ***** "

“I was Tibet cultural tours May 11 2017 with Manakamana Treks and Expedition, Spending my birthday at the Everest base camp. The weather was perfect, clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine. The Himalayas were stunning. The entire tour was amazing. The itinerary was great. You got to visit all the main Tibetan monasteries, which were fascinating. You also had time to explore on your own and do your own thing.Be aware of the problems of altitude sickness and be prepared. All the guides are extremely helpful and have a lot of experience in dealing with this problem. And also I got the feeling that our money was helping local businesses and contributing to their economy.Excellent. I went with Manakamana Treks and Expedition and they were excellent. Achut was friendly, organised and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our guide in Tibet was called Sonam and she was outstanding. I was very lucky to have her. She was highly efficient, knowledgeable and lovely company. This was a holiday full of magical moments and memories that I will keep forever. I would like to rate 5***** “

“It was most exciting part of my Bhutan Culture tour holiday ,Tiger's Nest Monastery .. it was the place I was most looking forward to visiting, and was every bit as good as I hoped. However, all of Bhutan was magical .. it's a such a remarkable, pristine country, comparatively untouched by mass tourism. From the moment of landing in Paro valley (it felt like the wings of the plane almost clipped the mountains!) it was an amazing experience. I would like give some other travel,The climb up to Tiger's Nest is hard, but you can take it at your own pace. Plenty of senior tourists were doing it. I went in August - low season, and end of the monsoon - don't be afraid of going at this time, there was rain, but not all the time and it had no bad effect on the holiday. I tailored my holiday slightly and did the Nepal bit independently (I had been there before, and don't usually travel with a tour group) and Achut Manakamana Treks and Expedition was helpful in letting me do this. It is marvelous; well organized beforehand and well paced once I was there. Visited August 15th 2017. I would like rate 5 ***** “

“I have been Himalayan Culture tour Nepal –Bhutan and Tibet on August 28th 2017 With Manakamana Treks and Expedition and it was the whole trip was absolutely fantastic and very well organised. Some of my favourites were just about the whole of Bhutan, the sunrise from Sarangkot, Pokhara and lake Yamdrok in Tibet. But also The only tip I have is to understand the likely weather/temperatures better - for some reason, I expected it to be colder because of higher altitudes and came with a lot of 'cold weather' clothes and therefore over-packed. My holiday certainly believe that it benefited local people - I asked a few of my guides/drivers and they all seem to like tourists and the income they generate. It was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone for Achut AND his team ! I would like rate 5 ***** "

I returned from Nepal memorable and exciting Trekking through the mountains. Please be ready to move around a lot, pack lightly and don't forget sunscreen :) My holiday benefited for local people in Nepal count a lot on tips which in this time is a great help for people. After the earthquake and with the border being closed from India's side Nepal really needs people to come and visit. A lot of hotels were empty and you coming to visit plays a great role. Nepal is very conscious about plastic which i find great. I kept filling up my water bottle and tried to make sure i dispose of all plastic appropriately. It was absolutely great. The company took the greatest care in order to provide a diverse and fun holiday. I think it would be perfect for groups and solo travelers (I went solo). The tour combines city excursions and trekking in the first half where the second half includes jungle attractions, bird watching, cultural performances and more city excursions. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting great diversity and fun. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was really sad to leave.

“We did Nepal and Bhutan holidays, cultural tours with Manakamana treks and Expedition during august 27th 2017 and Bhutan was amazing. We loved the culture, the slow pace and Tigers Nest was the highlight, we loved the hotels, the food and the tour was superb. Our agent in Kathmandu, Achut from Manakamara Treks was excellent. He put together the right itinerary for us and we were very happy with his service. I would highly recommend him to fellow travellers.I can give tips , The Tigers Nest walk down on a muddy path was treacherous, so be very very careful if you travel at this time of year (rainy season). We were so grateful to our guide and driver who both supported us on this walk over the lower part of the part (where the horses had made the path like an ice rink). The local Bhutan government government take a large part of the travellers money and they are distributing it well it seems.I want rate this holiday 10 out of 10. Our this holiday rate 5 *****”

“We have been Himalayan tours to Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal with Manakamana treks and Expedition in September 2017. We really enjoyed Bhutan most af all although all 3 countries are interesting and very different. But be in good shape. There are lots of stairs and climbing plus there is high altitude. However, I am 71 and was able to handle it well. Our holiday really benefited locals because of our spending on the tours and gifts.I would like to rate this holiday 4 **** “

“It was most memorable and exciting walking up to Tigers Nest Monastery in Bhutan. Please travel light. No need for Arctic clothing even in winter and our holiday Certainly benefitted local people by contributing to their economy in Bhutan.Exceeded my expectations in all respects. Achut at Manakamana trek and expedition in Kathmandu was great and guides and drivers went out of their way to ensure a truly memorable experience. All arrangements went like clockwork. I did Bhutan culture tour February 18th to 26th 2018. And I rate this holiday 5 ***** “
