The journey begins through a unique home land of Sherpa villages via Lukla or Jiri on the way of Everest Base camp with wondering views of mother nature. Trekking to Kalapathar or Everest Base camp is the best suited for the acclimatization before proceeding Island Peak climbing. Generally to climb this peak, the climbing route is South East and South West Ridge, and after a little rock scrambling the route joins a small lake-bed between Lhotse and Imja Tse Glaciers. From the base camp at Pareshaya Gyab, a well in good conditions can make the summit and return back to base camp in a day.
